"Diverlars" Presents: Pictures taken on the shipwreck..."AEOLUS"

The "Aeolus" is an artificial reef I have dove many times and still have not been able to see all of her. I have dove on at least 4 different sections it seems, either tieing in or as a Divemaster. The wreck never ceases to enthrall and delight divers! It's max depth is at around 120 foot with a relief at around 90 feet, and is really a good dive. At first glance , it looks like something from "waterworld" with the stern section standing straight up to greet you. I was informed that hurricane "Fran" wreaked havok on this wreck, making it better by twisting it apart and scattering it on the ocean floor. Big Sharks and countless numbers of fish, as well as abundant marine life makes this a very enjoyable dive, along with the opportunity to explore inside the wreck!

...AEOLUS was sunk August of 1988 as an artificial reef. She is 409 feet long and is a good multilevel dive. In 1996 hurricanes broke this wreck into three pieces. The stern sets upright, amidships she lies on her starboard side and the bow section is collapsing.
